Ans: During a case of Chhattisgarh High Court in Shiv Kumar Yadav Vs Santoshi Yadav on 15 -02-2004 it was held that the maintenance not granted as it is proved that wife wants to reside separately.

It was held by the honourable high court that in view of the evidence on record that no maintenance will be given to wife if she left her home voluntarily.
