Q:What is territorial jurisdiction?

Ans: Territorial jurisdiction is the authority vested in particular court to adjudicate over matters arising within a predefined territorial/ geographical limit. 

The courts can not entertain suit not falling within its territorial/ geographical limit. For instance: The High Court of Madhya Pradesh can entertain suits arising within its pre-defined territorial limits only; unless otherwise provided by the legislature.
